Our mission
We want Quinta dos Ingleses to be preserved and converted along with the land in front of Bairro da Torre into an extensive urban park. The existence of this park has become increasingly important over the last decade. When the PPERUCS was approved (2014), the reality of the parish and the environment was different. Today we're struggling with issues such as global warming, whose impacts - namely extreme weather events and coastal erosion - are already evident, and only the continuity of this green space can mitigate them in the region.
That's why we are aware of how the natural and historical heritage of Quinta dos Ingleses can benefit the population and, through the ‘act local, think global’ concept, make its contribution to the world.

By creating the urban park described above, it will be possible to:

-
preserve a century-old pine forest with its biodiversity;
-
maintain the quality of life and identity of Carcavelos;
-
protect the beach as we know it;
-
preserve historical remains for future generations;
-
maintain favourable conditions for surfing;
-
enhance a green space that is essential to people's mental and physical health;
-
contribute to the fight against climate change.
