On December 17th, we were notified today of the judge's decision to allow the start of works at Quinta dos Ingleses. The decision is based on the fact that the judge considered that there was no evidence of urgency in stopping the works and that it would be possible to reconstruct the current situation if SOS Quinta dos Ingleses wins the main action.
The judge's view that it is possible to reconstruct the current situation after the works have begun, roads have been built, cables have been buried and trees have been cut down seems absurd to us. For this reason, SOS Quinta dos Ingleses will appeal this ruling in the coming days. We hope that the court that decides the appeal will agree with us, in which case the works will be suspended again.
