Hearing of witnesses in the precautionary measure relating to Quinta dos Ingleses — current status

On November 22, the hearing of the witnesses in the injunction concerning Quinta dos Ingleses ended:

1 lawyer representing more than 10,000 people opposed to the destruction of the Quinta (signatories of the petition) against 10 lawyers representing 1 family of developers, 1 local authority (which doesn't even represent the population, according to the public consultation) and 1 school (which doesn't even represent the parents and students, according to parents' meetings).

We know that the values we defend are those that last, rather than theirs, which are ephemeral. As are the positions that those currently responsible for the project hold: the current council executive will soon be no more; the board of St Julian's will be no more; and what will the new generations of the Alves Ribeiro family think of all this? Will they defend their grandfather's choices with the same vehemence? Or will they prioritize nature after it has been irretrievably destroyed?
