Cascais is one of the municipalities with the highest abstention rate in the country

Did you know that Cascais, over the past 12 years, has been one of the municipalities with the highest abstention rates in the country, and that in the last local elections it was the 6th municipality with the highest abstention rate, exceeding 55%?

It was during these past 15 years that Cascais suffered the greatest disfigurement, the destruction of essential green areas, and the loss of quality of life for the majority of its population — clear examples of this being the construction of the Hilton Hotel and the licensing of the construction/destruction of Quinta dos Ingleses.
