"Dawn in the Forest" at Greenfest

“Dawn in the forest” was the installation that represented SOS Quinta dos Ingleses at GreenFest, between April 11 and 13, 2025.

In it, a video portrayed, in digital drawing, the birds that live at Quinta dos Ingleses in Carcavelos, based on a report by SPEA - Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, which lists the birds observed in the Quinta dos Ingleses area and reported on the eBird portal. The sound collection was carried out at the Quinta in the early hours of May 2024. Next to the screen where this video was playing was an amputated tree - a metaphor, a tree at risk, like all those that (still) resist in that space.

The installation was intended to show the fragility of these ecosystems when they are left in the hands of men who are nothing like ecologists.

There were also postcards available for the public to sign, which we prepared to send to the Minister for the Environment.
