For more than a decade, the movement — which became an association a few years ago — SOS Quinta dos Ingleses has been fighting for the preservation of this area.

We have not always received from the competent authorities the responses we consider fair and, above all, in line with the appeals of those who have been calling for the conservation and enhancement of the Quinta, turning it into an urban green park.

Throughout our journey, what has motivated us is the support and unity of so many people around this cause. Whenever we asked, people responded, showed up, and stood with us.

Construction works began after the permit was signed by the current Mayor of Cascais (then Deputy Mayor), Nuno Piteira Lopes. However, SOS Quinta dos Ingleses did not stand still and continues to fight.

The next 26 of November could be decisive in bringing us closer to our goal, as the main trial of the legal case in defence of Quinta dos Ingleses will begin.
