Take part in the PRO NAT.URBE public consultation until 26 May

In April, we called for participation in the public consultation on the REOT. Now, a new opportunity arises for us to exercise our civic responsibility in support of Quinta dos Ingleses — speaking on behalf of the 52 hectares of nature that matter most to us, and shifting the focus of the Pro Nat.Urbe programme towards the preservation of this entire space and its biodiversity.

This Action Programme for the Resilience and Restoration of Nature in Urban Areas, promoted by the Directorate-General for Territory, is open for public consultation until 26 May. In Cascais, this national framework is connected to the municipality’s Urban Renaturalisation Plan.

Contributing to this programme is contributing to our cause: after all, restoring urban nature begins with protecting what we already have.

To make the process easier, we have outlined the steps below, along with a suggested text for those unsure of what to write. It takes no more than 5 minutes!

  1. Register or log in to the Participa.pt portal.

  2. Access the following link:https://participa.pt/pt/consulta/pro-naturbe

  3. Under classification, select “Agreement”.

  4. In the comments section, paste the following text (making sure to include your full name and Citizen Card number), attach the document available to download at the bottom of this article, and submit:

NAME, holder of Citizen Card no. XXXXXXX, hereby expresses my agreement with the PRO NAT.URBE programme. Attached is my contribution, which contains a concrete proposal considered essential for Portugal’s compliance with Article 8 of EU Regulation 2024/1991, contributing to reversing the current situation in the parish of Carcavelos e Parede, municipality of Cascais, through the full preservation of the Quinta dos Ingleses green area (approximately 52 hectares).

Please take part. For Quinta dos Ingleses, always!
