On the weekend of 24 and 25 May, the siding that hides the Quinta looked like this: full of what seemed to us to be ‘literature’, not from the National Reading Plan but very relevant to arouse interest in what is happening at Quinta dos Ingleses, and in terms of the environment, in Carcavelos and the municipality of Cascais.
Whoever was willing to graffiti these messages was inspired and knows our cause well: Save Quinta dos Ingleses! Trees First! Forest Heals, Concrete Kills!.
The next day, as we suspected, Alves Ribeiro began to apply the ‘blue pencil’, that is, the brush of white paint - the one that erases the truths that have been exposed in the white of the siding.
After all, freedom of expression doesn't exist in Carcavelos, as we all know.
